I found this hat at a local thrift shop. The simple shape has a pleasing proportion of diameter to height.
I like the aged look of the flaking paint texture.
The pattern on the inside created by the radiating linear pattern of the leaves and the concentric circles of the reed ribs is interesting. I like how the construction and structural elements of the hat are an important part of it’s beauty.
